thats the only reason im starting to tweak on mine. Get mileage up a bit more and get rid of the stupid dead pedal. The pedal is almost to the point of unsafe IMO
i would be careful just bolting your billet flexplate to that engine. If the engine was balanced and weight was taken for the stock flexplate, a "lbz/lmm" billet flexplate might not balance out the same as the machined stock one that comes with the PPE. would be something to check with PPE on if...

Like Josh said. The engine will come out with turbo and balancer left on. done it many times. just takes the right angle of the dangle to make it slip right out :)
forged just dont have the hardened steel ringland inserts like the cast pistons do. The rings basically just beat away the ringlands over time. especially in cold weather and if the truck is cold started often.

i know people that have bent rods on stock fueling. Alot of it plays into the tuning, not saying that is the OPs problem or that he has subpar tuning. But it is possible.
