Yes, spool was still there once the 480 was put on. It lowered egts some and did increase top end power.- emiller3

Yes the 68 and the 72 works great with a 480. They both spool like a stock vvt although some changes were made in the tuneing to make the 72 respond the same as the 68. The 480 is getting replaced with at5533r as soon as I have time to work on my truck. We will see how well that monster works...- emiller3

15:1 here and no problems ,drive it every day to and from work. Mileage isn't the best but still is a touch over 17 mpg.- emiller3
