    Which pistons?

I don't think the crank is the issue, other than manufacturing defects it either having the mains tight and not having room to flex, oil temps way high and the oil not doing its job, or harmonics, I think it is the last but I have nothing to base that on

    Which pistons?

That's what I would do, not like me and plan to dd and tow with it then be up near that power level at the track

    Which pistons?

You have 2 fast trucks, how often will a 11 second truck not be enough to play on the street? Are you filling the block? If yes then you have your answer

    Piston Bowls

Just thinking outloud, but if you have to pull timing out like that, these pistions are acting like they are higher CR than they are as far as flame propagation so in theory you could run a lower CR fot chamber PSI but not have the smoky hard ignition issues like traditional low CR pistions

    Piston Bowls

So these pistions might really like oversized sticks. Hmmm

    Piston Bowls

Did you up the CR or the same and just have to pull timing? Would seem like this would mean you have would be limited to a shorter uS but with the right size sticks would make for a cleaner more effective burn

LBZ: just split a piston at 250fwhp

If you are having issues with a stock turbo, this will take them all away. And it will only help with ECTs also

    Passport 9500IX

I have the redline with the laser diffuser. I played cop (reserve force) for a while and have gotten a few people before, so I have some clue what I'm talking about. First off you have to be smart about speeding, if some 16 year old girl pulls out in front of you then can measure your skid marks...

Yes, he ports the sandwich plate for more flow, that is the only part you buy from him (at least when I did after he just started making them) After the truck is warmed up I have noticed 0 loss in oil PSI

LBZ: just split a piston at 250fwhp

Well I'm running 3 oil cooled turbos so a whole different deal, but I could heat my oil up to 230 empty just playing with it. Now on the way up here at 60* outside (so not hot) and 26,700 CGVW and 63 mph (car hauler), it would just open the Tstat up at 190. On hot days I can get it up some but...

I'm running SD kit now. You have to mount your own cooler but it is very simple fab skills. It is night and day from stock. Still need to watch that temp gage but so much better

    Oil cooling

I found it was easy to mount the oil cooler down low out of the stack so it wasn't even an issue post 448 is how I did mine

The two out there that I know of (killerbee and super diesel) use a Tstat and they stay closed (so normal stock system). I'm running mine up here in Minot ND

It does cost more, but if your temps are up some it will hold you over. I would see what your oil temps are doing, if they are high then run syn until you get a oil cooler on there. I'm really happy with the setup super diesel help me setup

    Oil cooling

You are dumping a lot of heat into that stack, I would try and mount any more cooling either down low or on the frame rail. More cooling is great, but you put too much up there and by the time you get to the normal radiator it is just hot air

    I would run syn 5w40

I see 42 PSI at 1650 RPM, but my motor was built really lose (insert mom joke here). What oil are you running? Superdiesel spec'ed out a really nice setup in his thread, I have been running his setup and have had 0 issues towing with triple oil cooled turbos
