Well the time has come...
the damage goes past the seat...Machine shop said they could replace the hardened seat and maybe patch the slight damage to the head...but would not guarantee anything...I have not looked at the head with the valve and seat removed...Steve is going to stop by there Tuesday to have a look at what...- pepperidge

Well the time has come...
update 5-29-10 Well just when I thought I could budget this rebuild fairly easily with a couple more upgrades...Steve and I pulled the heads yesterday to start breaking down the block further and to start bring things to the machine shop... more bad news...(taken from cell phone):( ideas?- pepperidge

I have seen the impossible!
Tom, you need to run the lly fuel rails and lines but you use your lb7 turbo and intake manifolds and turbo... the tuning issues with opening the injectors(or non opened)I have no clue about... but that is a good idea about maybe matching the injectors as close as possible to lb7 ones...- pepperidge

Racing Thermostats:
Got mine two days ago (Thanks Kat:hug:)and put them in today truck ran great, so the moonshine must not have any temp. parameters that would limit it...I wont tow the trailer again until Monday... will report back the results...:thumb:- pepperidge

Well the time has come...
I'm not sure where I want to go with the build though...I really don't want to go over $5k total...it would be nice for the $k for rods to be spent on a bigger turbo but a bigger turbo will more than likely kill the LB7 rods...maybe go LBZ rods and a bigger turbo?:confused: this build will be a...- pepperidge

Well the time has come...
Kev, started losing power on the way home from suncoast last year and as the power loss continually got worse the white smoke started pouring out with that heavy raw diesel smell...my guess is more than the one injector I knew was bad let go... still hard to explain the balance rates all being...- pepperidge

and the results are... Well we started breaking it down yesterday... We didn't pull the heads but are ready to... but what we found so far was pass exhaust manifold...bone dry... drivers exhaust manifold wet with diesel... after a year... (all exhaust ports of the drivers head were lightly...- pepperidge
