    Be careful chasing the threads with the tap, dont go crazy with it or the glow plug will be loose in the head. My buddy did this and then i had to put a time-sert in it for him.

    If it will work in a lbz block im sure it will work in a lb7. Im gonna make a call in the morning to make sure it will work. If it does im sending my other crank i just got back bc i havent had it keyed yet and it hasnt been opened. It will save me about 300 bucks too. :woott:

    Good to know I didnt know you could use them in a lb7 build i figured they would take more external weight to balance like an lbz/lmm and would and not be as strong. Are people using them in lb7 builds and what flexplate would you use for it?

    What do you think of welding the water pump or is that not a good option anymore? I built my own set of headers and up pipes the flange has gotten a lil warped bc i only used 1/2 thick flange but they still seal up fine the billet manifolds just seem super beefy and there quality of work is amazing.

    No problem, i really want a set of hsp billet manifolds and up pipes but i will have to see if my budget will support that after everything else lol. I will look into both of those places for pushrods . Thanks!

    Thanks for the info! My heads have already been machined .005 once so i would imagine they will need some work on the valves to have enough clearance? So the thicker the gasket and if the valves are recessed that will lower final compression?

    Its not a daily driver and i dont tow with it will be running 100 over injectors and a wagler AF cam . dont know the specs on it as of yet need to call on monday to see what options are. More of like a street/ strip truck.

    Ya i will give him a shout tomorrow . I told him i would eventually be building the motor and hes the one that said i would just need a pump upgrade to get me where i need to be for that but i will find out for sure.
