    Ya those old helmets do the trick, I've got a black Simpson bandit similar to the one below but with a mirror facesheild. Looks great and feels great and meets our club requipments but damn it was expensive to wear one minute at a time

    ^^ exactly i only listen to it if im in line. Hard enough to hear stuff through the helmet as it is. didnt even hear my front end self destruct.

    Thinking about cryo treating a lot of stuff. Local cryo place does it for 3.5-$4 a pound. Thinking about doing all of the shafts in the front end, rear and and tranny shafts (a lot cheaper than $1,300 for billet). Anybody cryoed any of their stuff??

    i believe it is a DOHC, i thought thats what it said last time i looked in there. Its got the big ol Z34 package and from the specs i found on the interweb its a 3.4 DOHC.

    Threaded Frost plugs

    Whats the advantage of these?? Dont know a lot about them, just saw a built motor that had them. i only ever hear cummins guys talk about their frost plugs.

    update cam bearing never spun. 3 injector nozzles were bad and three other injectors had cracked bodies The turbo was pretty much trashed, its rebuilt now the oil pump was shot as well, it just simply didnt spin very freely

    Figured it would be best to do that, guess thats the first thing on the list then. If theres one good thing about working on duramaxes, its that prices for all other engines look cheap. Like $15 for a headgasket vs $110.

    concrete price will be the same, a seperate company will lay the radiant heat. as for cost i dont know,. Over time it takes less energy to heat it. But make sure you plan everything out first like where car lifts will go and such, if you dont then you may ne in for trouble because once that...

    The water is supposed to circulate IN the floor not on top of it:thumb: But at least you do have the expensive part out of the way, or at least a big chunk of the cost, concrete aint cheap these days.
