    The slip is usually in the clutch packs not in the converter lockup clutch. But yes limp home can be a protection mode triggered by many things, one of them being "Incorrect Gear Ratio" aka slip.

    Is the Cruze dash display pretty accurate? I've been surprised that VW's is actually within one or two MPG average. The ones on our LML's seem to be pretty accurate too, 13-15mpg is all we get with them and thats what they say.
