    The frames are heat treated now, so straightening the frame is a no no. Liability on a major structural frame straightening would be prohibitive, hence the replacement.

    Mobil 1 5w-40 for your climate. Unless you tow heavy or run through desert heat all the time it will be fine.

    If you have a bad torque converter, the first sign is a vibration at approx. cruising rpm. In gear and out of gear. It will seem like a driveline or tire vibration, not a horrible shake or rattle.

    Rev the motor up slowly, if it is smooth until you hit a certain rpm, then smooths out again at a higher rpm, it's the torque converter.

    Just something I read somewhere. Idle issuses, surging throttle, white smoke on cold start = pump problems. If your pressures are fine, then pump should be fine. I'm probably thinking of mech. injection anyway.

    Found out the other day that you can roll a goose neck over on it's side. Not pretty. A 5th wheel probably wouldn't have. A 5th wheel might carry tongue weight better too.

    Something is wrong! It shouldn't have been less than 9 mpg. Take it to the dealer and bitch. MPG will improve with miles but it should be doing better than that.
