    PPE programmer on LMM

Ideally you'll want to read your EGT from a probe in the manifold. The ones the ECM reads should be pre-post DPF, which won't give you a great indication of what's going on at the engine.

    LMM: Weird Vane Positions

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I never did get it sorted out. I was thinking I might have to get a fresh tune to work off of. Shortly after that I started having regeneration issues and the truck's been down since waiting to get the DPF cleaned. I'd also found my fuel lines (return...

LMM how to drive it for fuel economy

A good tune is probably the best bang for your buck. You won't go wrong with any of the respected tuners. If a canned tune is more what you're after, I'd suggest looking at PPE.

LMM how to drive it for fuel economy

The LMM is around 14-15 driving back and forth to work on country two lanes with a ton of idling on winter fuel. With your 70/30 Highway/city split I'd be in the neighborhood of 16-17 MPG, based on similar trips I've taken. That's with my tuning though. My LB7 has been around 20-21 highway...

LMM how to drive it for fuel economy

My LMM typically shifts around 1800 or about 2K-2200 if I'm accelerating up a hill. My LB7 is generally closer to 2K or 2500 up hill.

    LMM: Weird Vane Positions

Thanks for the input. I'll give it a shot. Edit: Just tried setting my max vane position at idle (600-800 RPM, 300-800 RPM in the one table, 0-20mm^3) to 10% with desired at 5% and it's still erratic. When coasting to a stop with the converter unlocked, it drops to 5%, then as I slow it'll...

    LMM: Weird Vane Positions

I just want to see if this makes sense to anyone... I've been working on a tow tune for my LMM. So far I've gotten my timing and boost tables where I want them and have seen a significant reduction in DPF soot loading and fuel consumption, exactly what I'm after. All was going well until I...

    Hello from PA

I've been lurking around here and other sites for some time now, just decided to join up and maybe do a little posting. I have a handful of GM Diesel's, from a 6.2 to an LMM, and even an old 4-53T Detroit. Anyways, I'm glad to be here and have finally joined up. It looks like some of the...
