    Battery Replacement

I had a Dodge cummins for years and ran Optimas. I like the fact I had no corosion and they lasted. I ran them for 8 yrs and they were still going strong when I sold the truck. I now have a duramaax and will replace the batteries with the AGMs when these fail. To me they are worth the added cost

They are a fun to play with. They can get up and boogie with fairly minor tweeking. I had one for many yrs. Just sold it to buy a max. I miss the cummins already, but Im liking the chevy too.

    I wonder how come------

It's a great way to merge into the right lane when that SOB won't let you move over. They think you blew up and they want to give space :thumb:

    limp mode??

The new fuel filter fixed the limp problem. It also made a lot of difference in power. I do however have a new issue. If the truck sets for a while it is harder to start. I think I have air in the line. If I open the primer screw do release air, do I do that with the engine running? Sorry...

    Jaw Dropper!!

The Nappa dealer I bought from is near where I live, He has always been fair with me. He did say they used to have a lower price model but it was discontinued by the manufacturer. He said no the nappa label was not real gold.:) He was bitching about it too. The Fass or Airdog is on my list...

    limp mode??

Sorry about the confusion. I'm not the sharpest on these putors.:o I will get the reader and fuel filter. I assume the filter change will require a reprime. Does the FPRV reset itself?

    limp mode??

sort of sounds like when I lost the FPR on my first CP3. If I snuck up on the throttle, I could get the engine to carry some rpm, but if I stabbed it, the truck fell on its nose. BTW, there were codes thrown, but I don't recall if I saw anything come up on the MIL. Yeah that is the way mine...

    limp mode??

I didn't see any cel. and saw no code. It could have been limiting me to below 2000, not sure. It felt like less than that. If I soft pedaled it I could get mild exceleration. It has been maintained very well, It looks like new. I will change out the fuel filter. I feel pretty ignorant...

    limp mode??

Did not see check engine Lite.the only clue I had was when I would press and hold the pedal down it seemed to downshift and continued to have a dead pedal. I could slowly press on the fuel and it would gradually increase speed. but no torque. Its because you "blew out the soot" :roflmao...

    limp mode??

I have had my truck for a week now and was passing a few semis yesterday. I romped on the go pedal and passed them, then let up on the pedal and romped on it again to blow out the soot;). when I romped down again it went into a kind of dead pedal mode and every time I would press down on the...

Thanks for the welcome and the link. Great info. Still trying to figure out the short shorts but i get most of it. I'm not planning to race it. This is my daily driver and would like a little more pop off the line. That being said, thats what I said when I first got the cummins;)...
