Whinning noise, boost leak?

K so annoying a** whinning noise like a low power steering pump, very rpm and Boost related. Thinking a leak somewhere? where is the most common place to start looking? BTW stock turbo and all the piping except EGR blocked. ill get a video if thatll help.

Check the clamp where the mouthpiece connects to the turbo.

Pull the mouthpiece and see if there is any play in the turbo shaft, otherwise grab a flashlite and check for soot around exhaust pipes/fittings, uppipes, etc........also, one time had an injector lose the seal and made a squealing noise.

May not be this, but check your intercooler tube on the drivers side. Mine had a hole rubbed through due to the power steering lines.

sounds more passenger side firewall area to me from inside the truck. Shes cooled back off and about to start digging around now.

Well im lost couldnt find anything, did get my new downpipe on. Lights started acting funny, dimming while driving so i warrantied the alternator thought maybe the bearings in there might be making the whining but nope it still does it...

Also it gets louder with RPM not boost like i said before, so maybe another pulley on the passenger side?

Maybe an idler pulley under the alternator. Could try that and see.

and two idler pulleys later shes beautiful sounding again. thanks for the help guys. soon as i got someone to rev it up for me i knew exactly where it was coming from
