I'm still playing with the weights a little.

Did the base cycle and a week of the intense cycle of smolov for squats about a month and a half ago. Went from a 355 to a 405 squat in five weeks. I actually enjoyed it, didn't have any strange aches or pains until about week 4, then my quad tendon was sore until it got warmed up. Had big dry skin patches on both shoulders. Four days a week was a lot of squatting. Strength gains are undeniable.

I took a few weeks off after that, went on vacation and kind of felt lazy so I was a bit worried that I would lose a lot, but can still work with 355 for sets of 3.

Did zero deadlifts for over three months, did a workout two days ago and pulled 440 for a triple, which is over my old max, so all the squatting increased that as well.

Bench isn't really doing much. Tad over 300 max, sitting pretty stagnant.

Weight is hovering in the 175 range most days.

I’m still training... My gym has been closed but I found other ways to train;). I started cutting a bit too. Seeing as I didn’t have access to a gym all the time, just a spin bike and bw stuff Had my body fat ck 3 weeks ago 17% sitting at 212. I’ll re-ck fat/weight this week and see if I’m shedding fat or just muscle. Currently sitting at 203, lightest I have been in a long long time.

We laid off 15 people and I went back into the shop and field. Have dropped 10 and down to 180 and loosing the midsection and gaining my strength for what we do back. It’s kinda nice, might have to start being a workout person again. Glad to hear your all well and still being able to plug along

Great job on your Murph time! We did ours yesterday’s as we have plans today. Our neighbor decided to join for the fun. 50:06 RX for me. I forgot to get ahold of Albert to join us.

I pushed the sled, flipped and beat the hell out of some tires... I’ll get a Murph workout in one of these Years:eek:

Hit 202 bw and sitting at 16% bf. I’d like to stay here with more muscle and drop to 12ish bf.

I’ve been lifting since 19 , I’m now 59 , I’m 6’-0” 210# . I’ve been as big as 235# . I personally can tell you that I was no where near as agile at 235# as I am at 210# . I still look big but a lot more defined and cut up . I start out light to warm up my joints and get the blood flowing , I add weight as I go, high rep sets of 30 and down to 14 or so is where it’s at for me . It saves the joints and gets me really pumped up and cut up . At my age the doctors prescribes me test which helps keep me lean and very toned plus it doubles as cardio and stamina building .
