Hey guys I'm pretty new to this site and also truck pulling. I would like to see how and what u guys use for a front weight bar. I took my tow hooks off and have been searching for ideas on how to build a removable front weight bar. Any pics would be awesome too. Thanks in advance for ur patience with me. Great site btw

Damn u guys have some nice setups. Thanks for all the pics, I better get to welding. I pull in like 2 weeks. Do u guys use the 3 bolt holes for the tow hooks when u mounted your bars? Thanks again

I just use 2 quick pins up front, that way I can throw the weight bar on and off quickly...

That's exactly what I need, a way to unhook it and throw everything in the bed for the ride home. Sweet as hell. I like it. Thanks again for all the pics guys. :thumb:

I fixed the end of the bracket like this so when it slides into the frame of the truck it will wedge its self in the frame and hold its self there

it takes me about 2 min for my weight bracket slide in the frame bend over put in the pins and you are ready to pull

hope this helps :thumb:

it's solid bar stock, 2x2 horizontals, and I think 1 1/2"x4" verts. It worked great this year. Held 1000lbs pretty good.
