I'm putting a 4bt Cummins and an Allison 1000 transmission in my Chevy S-10.LMM and up has the aluminum cased ones that are more durable then the earlier models. I think the internals are the same through. Not sure about the L5P with it's different transmission

No, I'm keeping it IFS.Probably going straight axle then? I’d go a ford 273 case then. Bigger tcase, stronger and fixed yoke at both ends
