Well I have been looking around for some subs to put under my back seat. Not a lot of room to work with. I bought a 12" kicker comp in a box but the box is a little too big to fit under the seat. Anyone willing to post up some pictures of what they went with? How much would be needed in a ext. cab?

Went with dual 10" MTX thunders, and a 760 watt Pioneer amp for the single cab in a ford F250 box behind the seat. I had 2 10's in my LBZ which were Boston G1's and really liked them.

Guess I'm old school. I still have 2 Soundstream SPL Mules that I took out of my '94 K3500. Those will be going in my '01 toy. Very good quality and sound.

I have a single 8" kicker competition that came in its own little sealed box. It'll fit just about anywhere and adds just enough base. I'm thinking about getting a second since they are so compact.

If you listen to a lot of rap then go with the kicker solobaric. Stupid amou t of bass but doesn't sound that great while listening to rock. Alpines type r is very good all around but jl sounds good no matter what. Just make sure and spend the extra coin and get a good amp to drive them

well if i didnt leave my damn phone at home, id put pics up of my setup. i have nothing bad to say about the older rockford fosgate stuff. Im still rocking a 1999 fosgate 1600watt amp with 4 10" old style P2s. Very clean with rock and country but still hits hard and deep on rap when im in the mood. that old amp has shut off more times from over heating than i can count or even remember and it still keeps right on ticking!

its nice to have a back massage on the way home some days :D

definitely make sure you buy a quality amp to drive whatever sub you go with. that can make even the best sub sound like crap if you go with a cheapo amp!

Ill also mention, if you use some good speakers in your truck and put an amp to them, it amazing the kind of bass you can get from those. I bought a fosgate 400watt rms digital amp for my samurai and boy did it wake up the 4 6x9s i have in it. im gunna buy another one to put in the truck

I have a jl stealth box with a 12 inch fosgate he2 in it that was in my 04 extended cab. Too tall to fit under my crew cab seat. For sale I guess since I can't use it. I liked it because it was a real heavy plastic box, no vibration or sliding around.

I have all polk audio components and that 8 inch Kicker sub all powered by a big 5 channel kicker amp. I believe it is 150x4 for the interior and 4or500x1 for the sub. Sound quality is unreal.

I have 2 12s under my backseat. Used to have Orion DVC but they were too loud. Now theres some JL W0v3 in there. You have to pay attention to mounting depth because there isnt much room to play with.

Here's the link to the box I have. http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/2395100/vpcsid/0/SFV/30046

I can't believe you found a box for $90 :woot:
The cheapest I found is $160. And I listen to just about everything from flux pavilion to Brantley gilbert to Boston. I would really like either 3 10s or 2 12s with a vent. And maybe 750-1000 watt mono block. When I got the truck it already had everything sub amp but the previous owner wanted it. He left the Sony head unit but I will probably get rid of it too. Sony sucks with their settings. I REALLY want a double din.
