Stroker pump vs dual pumps

Starting a new build, either going S&S 14mm pump, or dual stock LBZ pumps. Thoughts on which is a more reliable way to go? Will one push significantly more fuel than the other? Will be running 250% over injectors. Thanks

duals are more reliable and push twice the fuel of a stock pump. stroker pumps are cleaner with a more stock look. doesn't take up more space that a 2nd alternator uses

it's really up to you as many have had good luck with the stroker pumps and more are in use then duals so naturally you will see more failures. If I had to choose I'd go with dual pumps

What kind of power are you trying to make? I run a single 10mm pump, when I build I probably throw a stock LBZ pump on the belt. I ran duals for a few years on my 01 with no problems.

I think that is pushing it with stock lbz pumps. Might need a 10mm and a lbz or two 10mm. If your doing spending all that buy the 14mm pump

I personally like single pumps as they're cleaner on install and are one less thing on the belt plane but you can't go wrong with properly sized dual pumps (2x 10mm/10mm&12mm/2x 12mm will easily hit your goal).

That being said, I'm switching from an Exergy 14mm CP3 to an Industrial Injection XP series pump as they outflow any 14mm on the market currently.

I have over 124k on my Exergy 10mm. Still going strong, it's d.d. and run coast to coast. It was installed back in Feb/2016. Was installed with new 45% overs and a built long block. Been running it on the big tune since day one.

I still have my original Exergy 12mmcp3 that I ran the first 10sec pass single vgt single pump back in 13 iirc. It has been in 4 different motors now and been to 1385hp on the engine dyno(250%inj and 91mm ProMod Turbo) with it and 1200hp in my street truck and is now in my wife's LMM daily driving at 675hp lol. I will always prefer the single pump setup to duals unless you can't get enough fuel with the single which is very rare these days.

Any specific reason? Just the cleaner install? I thought about throwing a stock lbz pump on the belt and will be cheaper then selling the 10mm and buying a 12mm on my lmm.

I currently run the ss 14MM. And have for the last year, currently at 6k miles this year. And calculated 1300rwhp

Previously ran an exergy 12mm pump for the 2 previous years (before the 14) put about 20k miles on it.

Ran an exergy 10mm for 2 years, put over 30k miles on it and now it’s on a pull truck, still works great.

I don’t think these stroker pumps have any issues with miles or reliability.

Yes, they remain stock looking under the hood and you don't deal with all the headaches of controllers not working correctly, belt alignment and bracket issues, extra horsepower being wasted turning another pump and extra heat put in the fuel because you have 6 pistons pumping fuel instead of 3. I've dealt with far more issues running dual pumps on trucks than I have ever dealt with on single Exergy pumps! This is also why I run a single 14mmcp3 on my ProMod, haven't needed more yet! Both of my stock bottom end daily drivers have single Exergy 12mmcp3's with 100%injectors in my wife's LMM and 200%inj in White Lightning with zero issues.

I bought my Exergy 12mm from Danville and it went in the truck in August of 2017. Daily driven. Never a hiccup.
