Hi, I just bought a new 24 chevy 3500hd cab and chassis, it dont have remote start, but does have keyless entry. I have googled and read several different threads on it, but more confused now, then when I started.
I had read it has to have ap3 or ap8 rpo codes. Mine dont show either code when I scan the QR sticker on door jamb.
I read an older post last night, where a guy said he was told if the truck has keyless entry, then remote start can be added. But haven’t found any proof to that.
Anyone here ran into this? Or possibly any gm techs on here that has done the programming?
I know I could get a aftermarket remote start, but I would prefer a factory kit, thats usable with my gm app. Ive got it on wifes yukon and love it. Have had aftermarket viper kits in the past on other vehicles, and it was hit or miss.
