Hey all, so I was just pulling out of my driveway, and the trans limped! How would this happen in 1st gear? The trans never slips and it's stock

Any suggestions??

If I remember correctly p0700 is kind of a general code for the trans you will need a good code reader V2 tech 2 or something to see what is actually the real problem in there.Search p0700 on here I believe Mike L has addressed that a few times.

I don't think the Edge will pull TCM codes, but it's been a while since I've messed with them. I could be wrong about that.

It says transmission control module tcm requested mil illumination..

I'm just confused at how it happened in 1st gear barely giving anything

smh... we know what the p0700 code means, we need to know the codes in the TCM that the scanner your using can NOT pull. without it, aint much we can do other than to take stabs in the dark.

The transmission can go into limp for numerous reasons, not just clutch slipping, hence your reason for it setting slowly moving in first. Like mentioned already you need to get a professional scanner that can read the transmission control module codes.
