DTC P007D
Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Temperature Sensor Circuit High Voltage

This code popped up yesterday while on a lease road in West Texas and triggered a "Reduced Engine Power" message. Good thing it only cut it to 90mm3 and didn't limit speed, basically stuck on Tune 1. :thumb:

Sensor checked out fine, voltage reference is good, but no ground or return signal to the ECM. Time for a fun wire hunt... :( Gotta love those rough lease roads!

Seen a pile of egr gaskets flanges rub through on the driver side wiring. done a lot of wiring repair due to that harness routing there glad you found it my suggestion is wrap every potential rub point in cloth electrical woven tape and be done with it for a while :thumb:

It made it a long time for a 201k mile oilfield pickup. But it's definately getting some more protection and routing.

Woof...8 wires with issues that I can see. Thank god you found it.

Sad thing is Tom I see this as a common problem not daily but fairly regularly. chafing is gm's worst issue with new body styles and poor routing of wiring harnesses near components. common repair is cut splice soldier heat shrink and wrap with cloth woven tape. I have to say the cloth woven tape is some seriously though stuff jmho

Pretty common spot for issues. I should have checked that lastnight when I got home but didn't think about until today.
