I have an 04 LB7 with 160,000 miles. Truck runs good, injectors were replaced at 120,000. But now it has oil in the coolant. Upper hose isn't hard after sitting all night. Where could the oil be getting into the coolant?
Not too bad. Make a mess and the coolant pipe connection in the cooler can be a bearcat to get apart but other than that doable in a few hours. It's a little easier if you lift the truck off the ground a bit to make more room to work. Or remove the tire.
