Love this site.. Lots of great info to check out. I have had my DMax for three years now but really looked at these sites until she fell victim to the bad injectors disease.

Honestly living in MA, NH, and CT... NH screws you the most. They just hide it in property taxes, vehicle registrations, etc...

On that note welcome! I one day probably will be a CT resident again! :thumb:

Where is CT are you? I hang up north (Suffield), but have been known to roam all over the northeast, and the country for that matter.

Dealing with all three of those states every year on taxes...

Meh, they all screw you in the end, no matter which one you are in. NH has no sales tax but everything else is higher, CT isn't any cheaper, and the standard of living is higher...

IMO CT is the worst if you figure in Property Tax,Sales Tax, Fuel Tax and Income Tax. Then you get into insurance rates and utilities. By far CT screws you the most start to finish. As a business owner it blows!

CT has great sources of income through taxes and all the Casino money but yet they want more as the spend like there is money trees growing on every corner.I recall when Weicker put in the" temporary " state income tax and lowered the sales tax which was 7.5% at the time to balance the budget.

Now it's back up to 6% AND when Weicker put in the State Income Tax that was prior to Casino money and the massive Lottery sales we have today. Where is all the MONEY?

As he ,Weicker, has said, you don't see or hear ONE politician EVER NEVER thinking of recalling the State Income tax do you? It was temporary! F'n bunch of bullshit if you ask me.

One thing is for sure there is going to be some HUGE cuts and for once the unionized state workers are going to have to get real and get in line with private sector businesses! Lets face it people are losing their jobs ,their homes ,as business close for good or relocate. Money is running out as the cash cow is out of milk.

One thing is for sure the pension accounts can NOT be funded. It smells of bankruptcy! Individuals thinking that they are gonna be safe with a state or city funded pension better hold onto their asses. It aint gonna be pretty

Things WILL never again be like it was when all of this WAS funded years ago, mark my words!
