newbie help

Just got the truck love it but was told I needed a new fuel filter. Now I've replaced the fuel filter and I can't get the thing started. Any ideas?

Did you prime it. If not there is a bleed screw on top close to the priming pump. Crack it and pump away. My screw is a pita to crack so I usually leave the filter a tad loose until fuel starts to seep out.

when you say pump away - do you mean crank the engine over? I've now depleted the batteries and am on the brink of frustratio

No don't crank the engine. There is a hand primer on top of the filter housing. It is about as big around as a half dollar.
