I figured this truck deserved it’s own thread since most of my others have had their own.

I picked up a 2003 2500hd 2x4 yesterday. Bought it from the second owner who was downsizing his fleet.

Truck has 187,900 on it when I bought it. Has a k&n cold air, hacked up exhaust, power windows/ locks and is rust free.

It’s in need of a lot of love as it was used as a truck for some of its life. It’s besn played with before I can tell. Hole for a stack in the bed, hole in the pillar for gauges. But doesn’t push coolant and shifts great.

The guy I got it from put injectors in it at 150k, used sac injectors in stock size from dan Someone. Which I question because I’m not sure you can even get stock size sac injectors right now much less a year ago. And it runs pretty healthy for a “stock” truck. I assume it has a small tune and 30% injectors. It smokes pretty good under accell but does not run as hard as it smokes if that makes sense.

I don’t really have any “performance” plans as of right now, but that’s always on the table. A built trans and a 369 would be a lot of fun in this truck.

As of right now the main plan is just to clean it up and start fresh.

It’s been lowered then raised, so I’m going to figure out all of that and get it back low.

I’ve got a full front end upgrade in the works for it.

Maybe a short bed

Wheels and tires

and put the damn flip up console back in it if I can find one!

I put my SAC +75% set in March 2016. I believe I have one of the first ever sets, so they've been around over 2.5 years now. But back then, and I believe still now, +45% was the smallest SACs you could get.

So it either has larger injectors than he said, or they are VCOs. Taking a look at the tune might give you some clues.

My brother used to have a RCLB LB7, and with a billet S366, +60% VCOs, and a good tune, that truck was a freaking riot! You'll love a S366 or S369sxe on something that light, especially if those actually are a bit larger injectors than stock. About the most fun per dollar setup of any Duramax we've owned yet.

Looking forward to what you do with it brother...

I need one of those for my new shop, it's a tad larger than the last one and I need something to keep inside to move large boats. Let me know when it's up for grabs please...:D

Was the red truck a flip up consol? I can't remember. If it was I still probably have it but that truck was bare bones so probably not.

Also super pumped about this find. The most mint flip up console I’ve ever seen. Was even local.

Put me in line to buy this truck when you sell it. I’m taking that console out and reselling the truck. That baby is nice!
