Got an update from my friend this weekend, I shipped him some goodies that I bought online and he took a picture for me. LED tail lights, LED 3rd brake light and smoked out headlights/drl turns. We also changed the plans for the bumpers and we are going to paint match both bumpers with rock guard and paint match the chrome in the grill! I am so excited to not have any chrome on my truck now!

Got an update on my truck this weekend. He took the box off and started sand blasting it to make sure that I had no more rust problems. Then he sent me a picture of the truck in its current state haha, I would be a little overwhelmed right now and I am so glad i decided to let someone else do this. Then he pulled the bumpers apart and sandblasted all the chrome off of them for color matching. Before any one says anything about that exhaust off the turbo let me just say, that is temporary only haha. It will be a proper 4 inch down pipe with wrap. I just didn't have time to make it the way I wanted.

I got my first look at the new color of the truck. Its not the greatest lighting but I could not be happier with how it looks. He did a really good job on the section of box side that needed repaired. I finally managed to get my rims over to him so he could get them powder coated. It is going to take every ounce of money i have to finish this truck the way I want but I should be able to have it back sometime in November!!!

Well I went to minnesota last weekend and made a couple of decisions on the truck. I had to pick a line for the rock guard. It looks like I will probably be ordering another set of fender flares that don't have the "pocket style" since I decided that I am going to run nitto 420s tires. I got some pictures of the truck last night and its coming together very nice. The pics have a couple shadows because they are inside the shop but you can still see how amazing its going to look. I have not got the rims back from powder coat yet so I don't have any pics of them. It looks like I will be getting to pic my truck up within the next 2-3 weeks. It will be like my christmas present to myself!!

Got the truck back on Sunday. The tires came earlier than expected so that was nice. I am happy with the offset of the rims. Only things left are to get the AFE exhaust put, get the correct coolant tank for the application and find some good condition interior door panels. Then I need to mold a new inner fender well and order the black center caps for the rims so it doesn't look ghetto.

Got the down pipe made and the 4 inch system installed. It feels really good to have a complete exhaust system with no leaks. I decided since I have a bunch of rad cap/fill neck assemblies laying around that I would build another coolant surge tank for the truck. I will pressure test the tank and then the system to make sure I have no leaks. I'll post pictures of the tank when I have it done. I still have to put some wrap around my down pipe and it should be good to go.

Its not powder coated. I used duplicolor engine enamel with clear coat. Its the chevy orange/red color.
Got some new front end parts for it since it has never been right after I bent one of the inner tie rods. Found a bad u-joint so I picked up these skf brute force u joints that don't have a grease zirc in the cross of the u joint, instead it's in one of the caps.
