Thanks for all the posts, dang didnt know people went as high as some of you guys! Got this yesterday from a customer of mine he says its 33,640, trying to find out if that is Gross or not. He's going from FL to LA Its a stock 05 LLY with only an LBZ turbo inlet and airbox upgrade. Says he's crusing at 70, that old bastard is nuts hope he makes it back home, might need to see Mike after this one...

That is gross combined weight

That's like towing a barn. Hope he has an EGT gauge.

I've grossed 30k+ several times hauling hay, wheat seed, tractors, and feed. I'm getting to the point of it being feasible to just buy a semi. It sure would be easier on our old goat. Then I could haul our bulldozer, trackhoe, and big farm tractor. Also could move alot more hay at once.

Theres a pick of our 03 LB7 ext cab pulling 28k worth of logs on here somewere, Thats just log weight not including the truck or trailer. That particular combination had to be close to 38k but was only pulled a short distance at under 50mph...Just recently we loaded a f700 with a steel flat bed on the back and a knuckle boom. When we went to scale out to pay for it (Scrap price) it was just over 30k combined weight and we drove 3hrs with a max speed around 75 but average around 65 from p.a. to N.Y. I swear that ride took a couple years off my life, I also vowed to never do it again, guess I'm getting old or something but IMO anything over 26k with a single wheel 2500 is just asking for trouble and is not worth the risk to yourself and more importantly those around you... I will see if I can dig up those pics...

We have a 36' cattle trailer I am hooked to quite often. A full load is around 25k in the trailer, the wieght of truck, tailer, and load has to be over 35k I would think.

Also pull some heavy loads with our gooseneck, haul a lot of hay with it, 17 round bales at 1,500lbs a piece is around 25k on trailer also

I rolled on the scales at the grain elevator at 57,550 with my pullin truck a few years ago.. Top speed was 18 mph, and I traveled 6 miles. I lit all 4 tires up crossing state road 19, and alot of people were wondering what the heck I was doing.. Probably won't do that again.

About 20 miles from home we snapped all 8 lugs and the trailer wheel passed us at about 65MPH,, Hence the taking a few years off my life, Lol..:D

Most ive grossed was just under 50,000lbs, with a 34' triaxle gooseneck loaded with wet hay bales.Usually run between 35,000 and 45,000 hauling bales though. 60mph is about all the faster we go, all town roads and county highways. We haul it as far as 40 miles away.

One summer on 90* days I hauled concrete blocks with it on a 45 miles round trip with a gross weight of 39,000 for an entire week.just over 30 loads of blocks and the truck (03 dmax) never skipped a beat.

Do i reccomend this or feel proud? no. Its unsafe if you arent careful and cautious, and really shouldnt be done at all. But we had the trucks and had stuff to haul. We still do it , but not as much now that we have a drop deck for the semi.

Here is part of why I dont recommend it, after throusands of 30-40k loads here is what the gooseneck ball/plate looks like,as you can see it has shifted back over an 1" and sits at an angle, and the entire frame is cracked underneath, yes it is being replaced.

I need to find my old phone to get the picture of my hauling my W900 Kenworth home, with the silage box on it. Not the heaviest, but it sure was a cool picture.

Never weighed it but but have hauled a 620 John Deere and a 37 B on my 25 foot gooseneck many times at over 70 mph and truck never skipped a beat and temps were all fine. It has to weigh over 22k easy with truck trailer and tractors. When i had my 04 reg. cab truck with 8100 and ally i pulled a friends Chevy rv that was a 20 + foot unit on a 1 ton chassis about 80 miles. It was'nt all that heavy but was top heavy as hell and we got more than one look from several semi drivers when we passed them and are load was taller than there van trailer. Luckily another buddy that went along worked for are state highway dept. and kept a eye on the bridge heights for us and he knew what they were supposed to be. We measured the height of the load before we headed out and it measured over 13 feet. That was a haul that took a few years off of my life for sure.

Grossed over 34k a couple times, usually in the dump trailer loaded with concrete demo/tile. Like others said, it jails it fine, even at 80.....shutting it down in a hurry can get interesting though.

with 12-13k haulin steves truck we hit 85-90mph up a 6% grade with all gauges in a safe range.

Most ive hauled is 28k gross and could cruise 70mph. whould have to drop to 55 up steep hills though to keep from overheating or pegging the EGTs for too long

Is this with or without the twins James?
