I have googled and searched for information on this subject and havent found anything of substance to help me other than "bumpsteer may be affected".
Can anyone here shed some light on what could happen if I remount the rack and pinion on the 1/2 ton 2" lower? It may also be spaced rearward between 1/4"-1" depending if any part of the rack is touching the frame.
I understand the relationship between the spindles/tie rods/rack has to be a certain way, but I am steering geometry illiterate. Any information you have or links to info would be greatly appreciated.
