I have an 06 lbz with afe straight pipe and intake sinister egr delete and a bully dog set on fuel Econ. Has 35 inch tires and weighs 10,000 pounds and gets 11 mpg. I put the exact same modifications on another lbz with the same weight but smaller tires resulting in 21mpg. Any thoughts on what I could be forgetting or messed up? I'm not a tool bag looking for lope tunes and black smoke I'd just like my fuel receipts to be lower haha

35s and a 6 speed lbz puts you pretty low in in the power curve at highway speeds. Especially for that weight. Maybe try keeping it in 5th and lockout 6th for a tank. If mileage goes up smaller tires are one way to bump mileage.

Its your driving style or there is something mechanically wrong with the truck. The only time I see mileage that low on a diesel is when I'm idling a lot, towing or there is something wrong. Yes my work truck is at about 10K it just doesn't have 35s, but its a 6.4 F250. They get the worse mileage of any diesel pickup I have seen and I still can get over 12 for the most part.

You could try this especially in town, T/H M-mode 4th gear. I run my truck this way and it keep he RPM right at about 1700-2000 @ 45mph good for up to 55mph (70 if I'm toying with someone) in town driving, and like one of the other members said you have no need for 6th even on the freeway as you will be well below the power curve cruising at 65-70mph, mine seems to have a nice smooth spot around 1700-2000rpm. Some say it is lower but the truck just has a tone about the motor that just sounds right and I have about 1600lbs in the bed.

I pulled 10k on a trip to Texas putting my gross around 17k and got 12.5-13 on every tank. Its either tires or somethings wrong with the truck.
