LB7 Yukon XL build Its getting out of hand

In June of 2020 I bought a 31 foot bumper pull camper at the time I had a 2013 Toyota Tundra I soon felt braking and weight carrying wasn’t up to task so I traded it in for a 2020 Ford F-250 Tremor 6.7 Powerstroke I had the power stroke 9 months and it wasn’t worth It for the Price

So in April 2021 I bought a 1 owner 2001 Yukon XL 2500 6.0 4x4 and it became my ”new” tow rig

The Yukon the day i bought it

Replaced yellowed lights with new clear turn signals and new Yukon Denali projector headlights and put on LBZ style Tow mirrors

Added a stereo with backup camera covnverted the dash to double din 1000 watt rockford fosgate amp with 2 12” Subs and 100x4 amp for door speakers

Found Z71 Suburban roof rack and Yukon Denali interior door handles in the junkyard

So when I was looking for a Yukon XL 2500 or Suburban 2500 i wanted one with a 8.1 because it was the best engine available but couldnt find one for a decent price

It was becoming clear this 6.0 Vortec is not gonna work out between being inadequate power wise for this big of a camper and its massive oil leaks and almost non existant oil pressure but putting money into a 6.0 was not something i was willing to do

Enter a wrecked 2001 LB7 donor

Getting the donors body stripped from the chassis

Got the body removed from the yukon and pulled out the 6.0 4L80e for something much better

The donor ran like crap when i got it so i took the oppurtunity while everything is highly accesible to fix anything that was/is going to be an issue

Rebuilt heads with ARP headstuds
New Gm radiator and CSF intercooler since the Donors were damaged
I installed a new LBZ CP3
PPE Uppipes ,Air Dog 150 and Banks monster exhaust

I didnt do injectors at that time which was a mistake i was trying not spend another $2,000 but had to anyways after i got it running

After getting it home powered by a LB7 now

After getting it running installed boost & EGT gauges converted cluster to Led bulbs and installed crackfree dash and Yukon Denali leather wrapped grab handle

Upgraded to a 2003-2006 console and added a Boost Auto Parts wireless charger

To fix the bumper gap the Reverse rake body lift leaves i went with the most expensive option and converted it to a 2003 Sierra 2500HD front bumper and grille

Got new custom Avery floor mats and got the front windows tinted

Found a used Set of 20” BMF wheels with new tires for $1,100 on offerUP

Added Recon OLed tailights and Led third brake and got a body color rear bumper

At this point I am working on giving the IHI a big brother

Overall, excellent project.
I was with you until those black wheels, though. I would've just put 265s on the PY0's myself.
Going to have the black spacer on the front grill painted white?
I have got to schedule a trip out west sometime to find me a new cab and bed for BBT.
