I replaced my water pump about 2 months ago. Just pulled my motor yesterday for bad head gaskets (pressurized the cooling system enough to spray coolant out the overflow and down the side of the truck), and noticed that there appears to have been coolant coming out the water pump weep hole. Does the weep hole operate as a pressure relief valve kind of, where it will leak and then seal back up if the over-pressure situation goes away? Or is it a one-time deal where once it leaks once it will always leak?
