Does anyone know if the colors on the wiring for the injectors are the same at the injector plug as where it goes through the main harness plug? I'm tapping into this harness and I would like to do it at the main harness wiring as it is easier to get to and repair if it ever corrodes.

Thanks

Also, can someone tell me the pin # for the #2 injector wiring at the above mentioned harness plug mounted to the valve cover? Is it in the lower or the upper plug?

Dale, I would recommend you get a multimeter and do a continuity check at the injector plug and the bale connector to find the correct wire.

No stores open you could get a cheap one? It would be a lot better than guessing based on color. Sometimes GM uses the same color wires for different things. I'd hate to tap into the wrong wire.

Roger that Josh. I'll get it figured unless someone answers my question first!

According to connector pinouts, the #2 injector control wire should be the Light Green/Black wire in position A4 of the larger of the two bale connectors.

What wire is it telling you to tap into? I have a meter and I can check my harness.

I went out and did some testing for you. I wasn't sure which wire on the injector #2 plug you were looking for, so I just checked both. I saw one purple and one green. The picture shows which terminal on the bale connector showed continuity with which wire. I could only really see which wire was coming out of one of the terminals and it was the one that showed continuity with the green wire. The wire was green with a black stripe. I tried to look at the other wires, but they were very hard to see. I think the middle one was black with a white stripe and the top one was purple, but I'm not sure about those. Here's a pic with the terminals labeled. This is the lower bale connector.

I don't have anything going on right now. The motor is pretty much together. I'm just waiting on turbo stuff.
