Some see it, well most see it as a problem. Seeing how I didn't own any cattle or deer land I saw it as fun and an opportunity.

Most definitely you guys are providing a valuable service to land owners, besides your having fun doing it. Those hogs are serious trouble to livestock and crops. I understand some areas up here in Michigan are starting to see trouble with hogs.

Is the meat good eating, or is it tough and "gamey"?

All depends on the hog. Although usually hogs that have been ran will naturally have tougher meat. But once it's processed or soaked its all good.

Excuse the dumb or ignorant question, but what breed are the dogs you hunt with? I'm just starting to get into this kind of stuff and am curious. Dogs look awesome though. Looks like A LOT of fun! Keep the pics coming as you get out there more. Really cool stuff

We hunt with black mouth curs, plot hounds, walkers, and catahoulas. They are mainly bay dogs. These dogs put their nose to the ground find the hog stop him, and bay him. Baying a hog consists of 2-4 dogs that will nip and bite hog to stop him or cut him off. Gritty bay dogs will try to catch the hog before the catch dogs but they usually are the first ones to get killed or cut. The catch dog's job is to run in while it's bayed and catch the hog. They are usually pit bulls.
