I have a 02 GMC Duramax Diesel 2500 HD Extened Cab truck.With 96,000 miles.
I replaced the fuel pressure regulator 3 weeks ago. The truck drove fine until last Thursday. I'm getting the same symptoms of the regulator but I don't think it can go bad in 3 weeks.(right?) What other possibilites could it be. I replaced the fuel filter in July, and had the injectors done last year. How had is it to change the fuel rail pressure sensor, and where is it located? anyone have pics.

Thanks for any info and or Help.

I don't want to mislead you but when I had my 02 when it started having rail codes popping up, my injectors went out about 2 weeks after that. Are you running a big program, any lift pumps?

What exactly is the problem you are seeing? Too high of rail pressure? Too low?

Check all the wires to the regulator. I hear if they loose connection with the ECM the regulator defaults out to max rail pressure.
