And it didn't put down anything near what I expected it would :(.

Best pull was 382/545. The tune I'm running I'm told has/should dyno around 450 HP. I'm just a wee bit short of that. I dynoed 440/820 a whole bunch of years ago at one of Merchants big get togethers, and that was while running a dirty predator tune and losing some serious rail pressure.

Something doesn't seem right, but while I don't quite understand some of what the log shows, for the most part (unless I'm missing something), all targets were hit. My first and third pulls were with the 450HP tune, the second was with another, older tune that *in theory* should put down more, but I lost major rail pressure on that one, so that could explain why it didn't make much more power.

One of the things I don't understand is at the beginning of the pulls, rail pressure dropped off by about 2k from desired, built up to desired, but by the end of the pull, desired was just about 4k less than it was at the beginning. There's something similar with the boost - about half way through, the desired boost dropped off.

I would initially think it's something mechanical, however, if that was the case, wouldn't I see something not hitting it's target, like losing big rail pressure or boost?

Does anyone have any thoughts?

man you are making that motor scream.

i would check to make sure your race valve isnt leaking. it hold rail like its suppose to on the smaller tune but it dies off on the larger tune and looks like the tune is designed to pull some pulse as rail falls, hence the weird drops. boost wise im not sure. running that high RPM isnt helping rail pressure either at the end

I understand what he was talking about, but why would he update it to a lower number when he is obviously having issues? I'm hoping it was just a cruel joke.

Well, I'd say it's most likely not the race plug - hooked up to the outlet and cranked rail pressure up to 25k for 15 or so seconds and didn't seem to be so much as a drop coming from the end of the fuel rail. Lift pumps also power up and seem to be operating, although I don't have a gauge to verify pressure at the engine.

If I had some mechanical issue causing it, wouldn't that show up in the form of a missed target such as vane position, boost, fuel pressure, etc? Interestingly, on the 450 tune, fuel pressure drops off initially, but then catches up and maintains desired for the remainder of the time...
