No I've got 1480s in both of my factory auto trucks

Hmm.....I've owed about a dozen Duramax/Allison trucks and the only one that had 1480 joints is my 11'.


FWIW, the 1480 series stock shafts are 3.5" .083 wall, while the stock 1410 shafts are only 3.5" .065 wall.

So if the OP can get a 1480 series stock shaft in good shape for a good price, it might be worth the $120 on a 1480 diff yoke.

You might be able to just have a heavier wall 1410 shaft built reusing your trans yoke cheaper than buying a used 1480 shaft and changing the diff yoke.
