One of mine was so bad I had to split it down the side too. Actually cut it with a dremel. It's crazy how bad they can be stuck on there. X 4, 5 or whatever we are on on the shotgun cleaning kit. Mine had the perfect size swab you can put on the end of the cleaning rod and twist in the hole with carb cleaner on it. Works Great.

I use a 45 degree die grinder with a 1" medium cross buff. It takes 10 minutes to clean all 8 once the cups are removed plus it somewhat reconditions the seat bore. After going this route I've never had a leaking cup issue and it's so easy that I reseal cups on 95% of LB7 injector jobs.

On average it takes 2-3 cross buffs per motor. A cooling system flush is a good idea after the motor is back together.
