I am in the process of installing a Banks charge air cooler in my 2002 2500HD, and the instructions say to reuse the lower mounts from the OEM charge air cooler. Unfortunately, the are kinda toast. GM does not have an independant part number for the mounts and says they come with a new charge air cooler. That seems stupid as the mount is a wear item. Anyone found an aftermarket mount that works? Thanks.

if you have the general shape....just cut up a soda can to match them....tape onto side of intercooler, use a vaseline on the inside edge of the can and use an RTV compound to fill in the shape. Voila.

Not perfect but it work just as good.

No, the mount is a flat metal piece, like a washer, encased in rubber with a rubber only section that fits down into the crossmember, and a hole in the center to receive the pin on the bottom of the charge air cooler. One mount on each side. You need the rubber to prevent metal to metal contact between the charge air cooler and the crossmember. The hole in the center acts as a locator for the charge air cooler pins and ultimately the cooling radiator (which hangs on the charge air cooler).
