I am wondering what all triggers the change fuel filter warning besides the WIF sensor, this last cycle was 800 miles and the one before that was about 8,000. It was changed about three weeks ago and just popped back up this morning, I checked and it has not thrown any codes.

That sensor right there, it’s run off of vacuum, as the filter becomes restricted or sucked dry it trips the change fuel filter message.

Ok thanks. I reset it and will keep an eye on it and see if it comes back.

Yes when the pump does not hold desired for 3s+ a P0087 (low) pressure code is set with the change fuel filter message.
