So i have a turbo at work here and its off a cat c-12. specs are .60 a/r intake, 1.08 exhaust, 74mm compressor wheel. Was wondering if it would work in a twin kit??

74mm inducer? Or wheel OD (exducer)?

If it's exducer, too small.

If it's inducer, it would be the big charger on a mild twin kit that used the factory turbo. Or the small charger paired with a GT55 for a max effort setup.

WHile its not ideal or the current day "norm", it could work, the first few dozen twin kits for durmaxes (MPI) were only 68mm inducer turbos, ran great and cool, just was outta air around 650/675 rwhp, I pushed one of the early twin kits to 700 but was way over fueled to do so. Being a c12 turbo it should be internally gated correct? that will help!

i think so, been having a hard time finding info on this thing. From what i've heard it's a 81mm compressor and a 90mm turbine wheel. That sound right??? The one in the shop here has a 0.66 A/R on compressor side and 1.44 A/R on Turbine side. This stuff is a bit new to me here so any help is appreciated!! :D

The common turbo for a c12 was a 4294, its not a off the shelf 4294 though it was tweeked for cat, wheels should be the same, housings (especially the exhaust housing) was done for cat!

Hers a link to one, dose yours look like this?

The waste gates were set between like 22 and 28psi depending on hp of engine, would actually work well in a mild manered twin setup!
