So maybe I am out of the loop, but got into an interesting disagreement earlier with a gentleman on the book. basically he recommended a local shop I've never heard of for a trans build. said the guy was building him a 1000hp trans with a LIFETIME WARRANTY. Said work included billet parts, upgraded front axles, and a built transfer case. said it was common knowledge that the cases and shafts in the stock transfer cases were junk and that he got his parts to build it from suncoast.

I've just never heard anyone speak of needing that before. but maybe I'm wrong.

There's a guy on there who offers "built" transfer cases...but he's never said what's inside of them other than they're more expensive lol. I've always been curious about it.

There are no upgraded and/or billet parts for these transfer cases that i'm aware of. I did buy a new main shaft and had it cryo'd because we had twisted the original one. Not aware of any other upgrade possible with these.

There is an aluminum aftermarket case available. It is cast and still needs a pump rub fix. They claim it doesn't, but I had one in here that was starting to get gouged up. Nothing else is available.

No no, don't forget about the upgraded collar and shift fork. Once combined with the new rear housing, it instantly becomes built lol

Facebook has too many experts that don't know what they're talking about.

If they ever come out with a legit "built" transfer case, I will be first in line. Until then, I guess my stock untouched one will have to do. 200k miles and hasn't missed a beat.

When I bought my truck 4 years ago, I changed all the fluids. Transfer case had 1/2 quart of black sludge come out. Thought for sure it was dead. 4 years later it looks brand new inside and has never let me down at 1200hp.

I laugh everytime that guy offers his built transfer cases.
