LLY: Banks EGT probe fitting.

Okay I've searched high and low and can't find the answer to this.

What size fitting is the probe end as far as the threads? I know the manifold end is 1/4 NPT, but what about the other? Tubing threads maybe??

The used banks tuner I bought came with the probe but not the fitting!

You mean the cap that holds the probe down in the 1/4" fitting?? If it's the cap then it's a tube fitting.

Would they not tell you what size it was? If not that is BS. Can you not just take the probe to a hardware store and test it?

I've been to every hardware store in town today, no luck.

And no, banks wouldnt say what size. Guess they wanted me to buy a new probe

If not mistaken that's the same as h&s and edge to. Maybe find someone willing to part the probe?

For those of you wondering, it's 1/4" NPT to 3/8" tube compression fitting.

Lucky for me we keep those at work. Just had to drill it out a little for the probe to fit....
