After throughout research I've discovered that I like the gdp monitor for quality and price but can I run it with out ez link I use a single tune from duramax tuner I tweaked and have no use for dsp2 or dsp5. I like the edge cts 2 insight but from my research it says that it has a lag or glich sometimes and nothing like that mentioned about gdp monitor plus gdp looks alot better can anyone enlighten me please cause I need one for a 02 lb7, 05 suburban 5.3, and a 06 lbz thanks

The GDP monitor is an android device that uses bluetooth to connect to the EZLynk Auto Agent. I don't see why you can't use a bluetooth OBD2 reader but then you're still in the same boat as a CTS2.

The CTS2 offers the best package. Also, as of now you cannot add external sensors for say an EGT probe on the GDP monitor. They (GDP) are working on a CTS2 style standalone device but that won't be out for awhile is my guess.

Thank you bdsankey they are nice I'm just trying to justify the cost for three vehicles and keep all the same units in all my vehicles so I can memorize settings and such. The glitch I'm taking about is the screen seems to have a freeze issue which can be corrected by unplugging the obd2 connection and re-connecting it. The gdp monitor just seems so much nicer on the eyes I like the screen format it just seems more subtle not as busy as the edge to me. I like something that flows with the stock instrument cluster like the isspro does for analog gauges but it compliments the dash rather than making it busy and bright. I may have to contact gdp and see how to go about doing that cause if I can use Bluetooth and only need a power cord for the moniter that will make for a much nicer install the least amount of wiring the better just cleaner to me :thumb:

I had a the original cts in my lb7. Never had any issues with it. There are many monitors on the market. I’d never use a cts to monitor all of my stuff. Way too much money for sensors and initial cost.
