The polymer I got is a Polymer80 lower. I like that it has a nut for the pistol grip rather than having to tap the polymer.

The polymer lowers with the alternate colored polymer in the mill areas are a nice feature but mine doesn't have that.

I'm drawing a blank on the forged 80% lower I got. Its a "We The People" lower with the 2nd A etched on the side of the mag well. :thumb:

So has my daughter, she's prepping her AR pistol here before she ran the program on it. The pink above was her rifle platform.

I think both of mine were $55. One polymer and one forged. The polymer one came with a jig and bits to drill/mill. The forged one was just the lower - no jig or bits with it.

So, let me ask this, is there any real benefit to building a gun off an 80% lower vs a stripped lower?

Other than the obvious no serial number on the 80 lower

1/3 the price to build your own, and you can use better quality parts than pre built. You can do the same with a 100% lower and save tons as well. Main reason for the 80% is like building a model as a kid, plus no SN

All my parts for the first build (just a 223/5.56) came in and some parts for the 6.5G came in as well. I'm stoked about the billet lower. It looks sweet IMO. I'll try to get a pic up later. It has the 2nd Amendment etched on the side of the mag well. I like it. :D

Nice, I have a couple 80 lowers on order that haven't arrived yet, so I went out and bought a stripped lower. I don't mind the serial number.

Ordered 80 lowers over a week ago, still waiting, but got my stripped lower and my lower build kit already. go figure.

I think I'm building myself a 300 blackout this time
