Well it happened to me. Luckily i made it where i needed to be before i went empty. But here is my issue. I turn the key on (lift pump starts pumping) and fuel just starts spraying all over under the truck. I checked the lift pump lines that go into what I'm going to call a "fuel junction box". Its located on the inside of the frame. That is the source of the leak, but i don't know the name for it or where to start on fixing this.

Anyone have this happen before? any info will help!

Looking at the abs?

Maybe a line behind it rusted through.

Sounds like your looking at the fuel cooler. I'll bet that hokie fitting they used to give you lost that clip that holds it into the fitting. It happened to my LMM, I used Monel wire to secure it after that...

Same thing happened to me on a lift pump with maybe 6,000 miles on it. Blew the line off the factory return line. Lost 22 gallons in 4 miles.

There is a hard-to-flexible fuel line junction near the ABS module - You can either get quick-disconnect to AN hose adapters or put in replacement hardlines (which I did, they also include the flexi lines). It is not particular difficult or expensive to swap out the OEM lines for good braided teflon or rubber lines. if you use braided rubber lines, make sure they are rated for mild vacuum (most are).

I got mine (in stainless) from Fine Lines Inc. $345 on ebay for 2wd 2006 3500 dually. You just need basic tools and a quick disconnect tool (the NAPA ones work, not all of them do). It is a messy job and isn't particularly quick, but with stainless you will never need to do it again.

It it's just the flexible part on the fuel line that's leaking just get some hydraulic hose with compression fittings on it just like people use on the trans cooler lines. Cut it off at the hardline and done.

^^^ this. Mini tubing cutter and 1/2" compression fittings.

Agreed on a smaller scale fix if your lines are in good shape. My brake lines were in bad shape and didn't want to pull everything off to do the fuel lines in the future.
