Well, the wife is going to trade in the cruze and get one once they show up. Talking to a chevy dealer as we speak. So I told her get it loaded,z71 and all. Sounds like it's going to be a while but maybe by the summer sometime. This is just what we were told, not me spouting b.s. We will have to wait and see.

Got four different time frames from four dealers, next year in feb, july of this year,November of this year,March of next year......not mad just saying. My wife has always wanted a 4wd truck that gets decent mileage ,she deserves it after never giving me a bad word on my truck or really anything u like to do. As far as a tune when we get it that would be sweet.

I hope it comes out the end of THIS year....Need to replace my daily here soon and that wood be a perfect replacement... What would be really cool is if GM were to put that diesel engine in some of their crossovers too... I would get a terrain diesel.:D:thumb:

I hope they put it in the Canyon. I have only seen it listed on for the colorado. It was listed on the chevy site as summer 2015 release, but i have not seen that in a while.:(

We love the cruze, but a good fuel mileage truck would be sweet. And I could pull it behind the durahome! I really hope it's soon but that's out of my control........

Don't know, but I have been looking at both websites for a while. The diesel Canyon is not mentioned anywhere. At one time it was listed as coming out in 2016 where the Colorado was listed as mid 2015.

The colorado diesel is for the 2016 model year, as per GM. Model years start in august of the previous calendar year. So summer 2015 is probably a fair guess. February/march 2016 is ridiculous, it will be out way before then.

I'm very excited about this myself. I'll be in the market for a new DD this year and am sold on either the 2016 Colorado Diesel or a 2015 Ram EcoDiesel. I think the Rams are ugly personally, but my current DD is in rough shape and if it doesn't last me through the spring/summer my mind may be made up for me.

That's why I am hoping they have diesel equipped 2016s on lots by late summer. No guarantees my daily driver will pass inspection in October.

Saw this on FB.
I like it.
Very curious on what the price with a diesel will be. The one I built with pretty much everything and the V6 was about $40g CDN.

My wife's nephew works at the Proving Grounds he's on the Colorado Diesel program. He's hauling an enclosed v-nose 6x12 at 4500lbs, avg 17mpg out to Colorado and back, unloaded running 75 on hwy he said 29mpg!! Not bad for Crew Cab Z-71 4x4 short box.
