I build pretty much all my stuff from salvage vehicles. My 2003 was done that way back in 07, I did my wife's Cadillac in 2012, my Harley.etc etc.

I keep my stuff a long time and general am not too worried about resale.

Back in March I bought a Duramax Denali from Hicksville. They had begun the rebuild process had most of the parts. It was a rollover.

We (my wife and I) finished it up. I sub out my frame work and module (MDI on this truck) reprogramming. Other than that all the work is done at home.

This past weekend we passed our state inspection, the title was flipped from "salvage" to "rebuilt". In Michigan that means you can put plates on it and such. Salvage title vehicles cannot be plated.

Here are a couple pictures of the build.

I don't have pics of the truck at the frame shop or replacing the core support so I'll jump ahead a little.

All back together.

Hmmm. All the sudden I can no longer upload pictures? I'll try again after while.

TX of course
Looks very nice. I just don't have that kind of dedication to undertake such a project. With family stuff and all my other little project it would take a a year to get that done. I've wanted to don't some work to my work truck and still not done it. Im just now looking at buying painting equipment and ive had the truck a year now.

Matrix. http://www.matrixsystem.com/en/index.html

I use their MPB basecoat and this one has their MS-52 clear.

Thank you.

This one took me almost six months, but I had a very busy summer outside of this project. The last few weeks, pretty much all of my free time went to this truck, but I don't regret it.
