    Nitro gear

I installed a set of Nitro 4.30 gears in my 2004 LLY and they are doing great, no issues at all. I can tell you the crush sleeve they supply with their install kit is one heck of a MF to get crushed to the proper height, even with a big ole impact wrench. Nice and quiet going down the road. Mike

5 speed to 6 speed conversion.

So do you think this system would work on a 2004.5 LLY with a Mike L built transmission with his spring(s) in it? Just swap the springs over to the new valve body? Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

5 speed to 6 speed conversion.

Will the existing kits or the new kit work with a Mike L built transmission? Just keep Mikes springs in the valve body? I’m very interested in this, since I put 4:30 gears in my lly a couple months ago and it would be great to get the rpms back down when running 75 or 80 on the interstate. I...

LBZ: Help! No one can figure out the issue.

Are you running a lift pump? If so it could be running to much pressure. You could pull the fuse on it and see if that affects idle. Sent from the Arizona desert

    WOT launch problems

Watch rail pressure actual versus demand and that will tell you if it is a fuel supply issue. If actual drops below demand when it cuts out then you need to concentrate of the fuel supply system and either add a lift pump, change fuel lines, change to a free flowing filter or your cp3 is...

    New Trans?

That's what Mike L built mine for last winter, including a 3 disc billet torque converter. He said it's good up to 750 before you need billet shafts. That includes removal and installation. Sent from the Arizona desert

Air bubbles at fuel filter head

I just did mine last week and it's an easy fix. The kit is only $26 at Orielly auto parts. There are 2 lipped seals on the push button, and some O-rings inside the head. Get some brake cleaner to clean everything and add a few drops of oil to lube the seals and O-rings. Easy job. Sent from...

    LB7: Recurring A/C Problem

Sounds like they need to put some dye in the system to see where its leaking, then make needed repairs after that. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Edge cts2

I installed the Edge Insight a couple of months ago, then added the Egt and boost sensors on the LLY. Made the first long trip towing my 12,000# toy hauler going from 400' to 9200' elevation. After I got up here the egt sensor is acting wierd, showing 100 degrees one minute then 800 degrees the...

Modifications to an LLY tweaked turbo

I'm running lly turbo with ported exhaust side, Wetzel compressor wheel and Ford 10 blade turbine wheel. Pulled my 5th wheel from 400 ft elevation to 9000 ft for a camping trip. Ran well, no complaints but after unhooking and driving around it seems kind of wierd as it runs 0 boost on flat...

    Lly or lbz turbo

I told Rob about the turbo before he sent the tunes. When Mike L built the trans he resets the trans to relearn and it works well. As far as the whistle, I could hear it at first but don't notice it at all now, course my hearing is lousy especially in the high pitch areas, too much gun shooting...

    Lly or lbz turbo

I'm running an lly turbo, wetzel wheel, 10 blade turbine wheel, stock vanes and I ported the turbo exhaust side to match the gaskets and it runs great. Spools quick and is very responsive. Sent from the Arizona desert.

LLY: Need help installing Y Bridge on LLY

To get the socket on mine I used the 1/2" ratchet with a 3/8" adapter and a 3/8" 12 point socket. Seemed to be about the right length to allow the socket to seat on the bolt head. You might try different setups or extensions to allow the reach. I did have to take the drivers side up pipe heat...

LLY: Need help installing Y Bridge on LLY

I used a long 1/2" flex head ratchet and a pipe cheater bar to break them loose, all but one done through the passenger side wheel well. There was one that I used a regular 3.8" ratchet and a crow bar to lever up the end of the ratchet using the back of the engine/top of transmission to lever...

Could be the gauge motors are shot, common problem with that year Chevy. There is a guy online that can install new motors if you send him the gauge pod. I think he's in New York. He did my Avalanche several years ago. Mike Sent from the Arizona desert
