  • have you looked for fuel in the oil? I'd say you have one or more injectors shootin craps, my truck throws a glow plug heater code all the time and it's from the air intake heater being bad, so i just took it out and had the codes shut off, leave it plugged in when it's cold and hasn't been a problem. As for the tranny limping all the time I'm not sure, had a friend who's truck was doing the same thing but can't remember what the problem was but i'll ask him and get back to you.
hey man ive got a 01 duramax with a lb7 out of an 02 with 100,000m on it. started taking a long time to start so i changed the fuel filter then it started starting fine again, few weeks later started not wanting to start then wouldnt start at all was pull starting it an now it wont even pull start. so ive been starting it with starter fluid. only use one spray and it will run all day long. an it doesn't white smoke at all hasn't lost any power at all. just wont start on its own no matter how long it has been running. i have an obd reader an it goes into limp mode when i have a heavy load or am really gettin on it goin up an incline or sometimes just going down he road codes are. small fuel leak, large fuel leak, glow plug heater malfunction, (has brand new glow plugs). sometimes says engine overboost condition. Cant find a fuel leak anywhere
