Zone vs rcx 07 classic

As a few know I bought a 07 classic 3500 single wheel crew long. I'm going to be lifting it in the near future and doing 35s on 22s.

Looking at 6" kits let down to 4-4.5" front lift

I'd love to have a cognitio non torsion drop but the money isn't realistic for my useage unless Russ wants to make me a sweet deal.

So I'm looking at zone and rough country. Now I know people hate rcx for some reason. I've installed probably 50 of their kits and personally owned a couple with zero issue.

Never seen or installed a zone. But I hear good things.

Money difference is $200 so not a huge difference if zone blows it out of the water.

Increased track width doesn't bother me, truck won't be raced or truck pulled (more than likely)

Just looking for something that rides decent and doesn't wear out in a year. I realize shocks make all the difference so I'm tempted to order shocks separate if I can order the kits without shocks.

My 2004 CCLB Max has the RCD and drives/rides like a dream.

No first hand experience, but I’ve done hours of research. Seems rough country is hit and miss. Some love it. Some hate it. Some say it Rides great. Others don’t. I have seen a few complaints that the RC parts don’t have good paint and start to rust within a year or two. I can’t say I’ve ever rest anything bad about Zone. Sister company of BDS and supposedly almost the same lift without the warranty. Don’t know about either brand’s in house shock options, but I do know Zone offers a name brand shock upgrade. Just can’t remember if it’s fox or bilstein? I’d pay the extra for a Zone.

For what im planning on using my truck for i have to run a cognito lift but, if not that then bds and zone after that. So my vote would be zone. I have also read countless threads about lifts (I also wish cognito wasnt so pricie) and zone does get mentioned alot more on the better side of the conversations.

Zone if it were me between those two choices and fox shocks front and rear at min. i dont like the bit of cranking over the stock amount in a RDC kit to get 6" lift. Otherwise i dont have much bad to say as my dad had a 6" RDC on his 07 classic. he had triple bilsteins up front though and it rode way too rough

If you are looking at only going to 4.5" have you looked at the BDS 4.5" lift? Or is that outside the price range you are wanting?

He's likely looking for decent CV angles and decent steering geometry hence lowering the 6" lift instead of cranking a 4"

I don’t think I can get a Cognito NTBD down to Zone pricing, sorry buddy. Just don’t get the Zone UCA’s and you should be fine, couldn’t believe the weld job around the BJ on the last set I saw

When I get ready I'll see how close we can get. There's some options on the cognitio I don't need and I'd rather have cognitio than anything

You can run 35's on the 4.5 BDS lift without cranking it up, just need the right backspacing and offset. Even without ideal backspace you can get away with it with a bit of trimming.

I'd like to see the front end angles at the 4.5"


Edit : I'm only seeing bds 4.5" for 11+

Whats scary is there are people out there on the roads with the rest of us, driving on poorly made parts like that.....or worse.
