With a .458 socom you'll end up shooting that much money in ammo at almost $2/Round, not to mention it's not exactly the easiest ammo to come by. I had a .458 upper on a Rockriver lower, that i was going to use as a brush gun up here for bears. Ended up selling the upper because if I wanted to spend that much on ammo I would have saved up for a .50. It is a heavy hit to the piggy bank but I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" with AR's granted I could have spent a little less and still had a decent gun but it is worth it to me to have the peace of mind that I have an AR that runs like a sewing machine. But hey everyone has their preferences if they didn't the world would be pretty boring.
