Have some guys wanting to know what all we would need to do this. I have a good idea on most of it. My question is on the pedals and the master cylinder for the most part. Can I just take the bolt or bar loose and slide the old brake pedal off and replace it with the clutch/brake? I havent looked to see if there is a spot on the cab to accept the master cylinder yet. Also do we just have to reflash the computer with the manual tune? Any help would be great.

Sorry Andy, I don't have definitive answers on a single one of those questions. I'm fairly certain you the pedal assemblies go right on as you mentioned and that the tuning is just a flash away. I have no idea about the wiring. I'd suggest you solicit Ben (duratothemax) or Brayden on that stuff. Those two really seem to have a strong hold on the in's n out's of the wiring on these trucks. I'd also be surprised if the firewall werent already setup for the mastercylinder with at least a boss where the cylinder should go. GM likes to make as many things as universal as possible. Would be unusual I think for them to have multiple stampings just for the firewall but you never know since it twists on as opposed to bolting on like most. I don't even know where exactly its at on the firewall on a zf truck. :(

Sorry I can't be of better information. Maybe someone else that knows for sure could help you out. I know Caleb (05lly) and Johnboy each have both trucks (zf truck and an allison truck) so you could possibly PM them and see if they would check out the firewall of each and help you out?

Was thinking, Ryan U. and Ben J. both have ZF6 trucks and allison trucks around there shop all the time. Think the one ryan uses to tow his truck is a zf6 (the white ec drw w/ flatbad) so one of them local guys might be able to peek at them for you or let you roll around one and check some physcial differences?

All I know is I got to ride in a zf6 truck in Lawrenceburg acouple weeks ago and I fell absolutely in love with it.

I regret buying my truck from time to time now to be honest

I haven't had to do a conversion yet but with the info I have it's all bolt in. The cabs should have been all mdde the same so IIRC there are punchouts for the hole on floor and a sport for the master cylinder. I haven't been around many Ally trucks  so I'm not 100% though.

Is there anyway I could get you to snap a pic of were the clutch master cylinder is mounted on the firewall for me? Might get to look and see if I can see any differences this weekend.

The pedal assembly should bolt right up. The trouble will be mounting the master cylinder. My auto truck has neither the hole in the cab or the mounting bracket for the master cylinder.

You need to do a complete Full Flash of your tune with the same OS# from a ZF6 truck. I probably have the tune. I hoard ZF6 stuff.:)
